Luxembourg-based Tenaris SA (TS) said Wednesday third-quarter net income to shareholders was US$436.4 million, or US$0.37 per share, compared to US$325.0 million, or US$0.28 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On a per American depositary share, or ADS, basis, earnings went up to US$0.74 from US$0.55.
On average, twelve analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of US$0.71 per ADS. Analysts' estimates usually exclude special items.
Net sales for the quarter were US$2.66 billion, up 7 percent from US$2.49 billion in the comparable quarter last year, while twelve analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated revenues of US$2.71 billion.
