AeroVironment Inc. (AVAV) reported second quarter EPS of $0.39 after the bell Tuesday, up from $0.30 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.23. Full year 2013 EPS is expected to be between $1.41 and $1.51. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.44.
AeroVironment gapped up sharply Wednesday and climbed during the first 45 minutes of trade. The stock ended the day with a gain of 2.68 at $22.94 on the highest volume of the year. AeroVironment jumped to a 1-month high and re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
