Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (VRX, VRX.TO) announced the completion of its acquisition of Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. (MRX) following the approval of the transaction by stockholders of Medicis at the special meeting held on December 7, 2012.
Canada-based Valeant in September agreed to buy Medicis for $44 per share, or a total of about $2.6 billion.
