Hungary October Industrial Production Declines

Hungary's industrial output declined in October for the first time in three months, latest data from the statistical office showed on Friday.

Industrial production declined by a seasonally-and-working-day adjusted 3.8 percent year-on-year in October, after rising by 0.6 percent in September and 2.7 percent in August. The preliminary figure was left unchanged. The latest decline is the biggest since December last year, when production fell 7 percent.

Manufacturing output rose 12.1 percent, while production in the mining and quarrying sector declined 7.8 percent. The utility sector output dropped 9 percent.

Sequentially, industrial output decreased 3.8 percent in October compared to 0.6 percent rise in September.
