MAP Pharmaceuticals Inc. (MAPP) announced after the close Tuesday that it agreed to be acquired by Allergan Inc. (AGN) for $25.00 per share. The acquisition is expected to close late in the first quarter or in the second quarter of 2013.
MAP Pharmaceuticals gapped open sharply higher Wednesday, but traded in a narrow range throughout the session. Shares finished up by 9.13 at $24.71 on the highest volume of the year. The stock leaped to a new high for the year.
