Bulgaria's producer price inflation slowed in December, data released by the National Statistics Institute showed on Wednesday.
The producer price index (PPI) rose by 5.2 percent year-on-year in December, after a 5.3 percent increase in November. Pipeline inflation in the domestic market slowed sharply to 5.3 percent from November's 6.4 percent.
Among main industry groups, producer prices rose the most by 8.7 percent in the utilities sector, while in manufacturing prices increased by 4.4 percent. Prices in the mining and quarrying sector were up 3.6 percent.
Sequentially, the PPI fell by 0.7 percent in December, which was bigger than the 0.4 percent decline in November.
