Denmark's annual inflation decelerated in January, data released by Statistics Denmark showed Monday.
The consumer price index increased 1.3 percent on an annual basis in January, slower than the 2 percent gain seen in December.
Prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose 2.3 percent annually, while housing costs advanced 2.3 percent. Transportation costs moved up 0.5 percent year-on-year, while clothing and footwear prices decreased by 2.5 percent.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index declined 0.4 percent in January, the agency said.
The harmonized index of consumer prices (HICP), measured under the EU methodology, increased 0.9 percent annually in January after rising 1.4 percent in the previous month. Month-on-month, the HICP decreased by 0.4 percent.
