Curtiss-Wright Corp. (CW) Wednesday reported a slight increase in fourth-quarter net income to $38.5 million from $38.2 million a year ago. On a per share basis, earnings for the quarter remained unchanged from last year at $0.81.
Excluding dilution from acquisitions and transaction costs for the pending acquisition of the Phonix Group, adjusted earnings for the reporting quarter were $0.95 per share.
Net sales for the quarter increased 7% to $590 million from $551 million last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.93 per share on revenues of $596.03 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Looking ahead to fiscal year 2013, the company expects net earnings $2.70 to $2.80 per share on revenues of $2.48 billion to $2.52 billion.
Analysts currently expect earnings of $30.6 per share on revenues of $2.45 million for 2013.
