Vitamin Shoppe Inc. (VSI) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $0.40 Tuesday morning, up from $0.31 in the prior year period. Net sales were $218.9 million, compared to $214.9 million last year. The consensus estimates were for EPS of $0.40 and revenues of $223.88 million.
Vitamin Shoppe gapped open sharply lower Tuesday and is now down 9.56 at $53.66 on strong volume. The stock has dropped to a month and a half low and has fallen below both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
