Vitamin Shoppe Inc. (VSI) reported fourth quarter adjusted EPS of $0.40 Tuesday morning, up from $0.31 in the prior year period. Net sales were $218.9 million, compared to $214.9 million last year. The consensus estimates were for EPS of $0.40 and revenues of $223.88 million.
Vitamin Shoppe gapped open sharply lower Tuesday and declined during the first half of the morning. The stock ended the session lower by 11.78 at $51.44 on the highest volume of the year. Vitamin Shoppe sank to an 8-month low and fell below its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
