The company expects to report first quarter EPS of $0.53 to $0.58 and between $2.54 and $2.74 for the full year 2013. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.58 and $2.81.
Dollar Tree gapped open higher Wednesday and has spiked to the upside in early trade. Shares are now up 4.55 at $45.63 on above average volume. The stock has surged to over a 4-month high.
