Sealed Air Corporation (SEE) a provider of food safety and security products, Friday announced the appointment of Jerome Peribere as Chief Executive Officer and President, effective March 1.
The incoming CEO joined the company in September last year as President and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Sealed Air, he spent 35 years at the Dow Chemical Company in a variety of leadership positions throughout the world and was most recently President and Chief Executive Officer of Dow Advanced Materials, said Sealed Air in a statement.
Following the announcement, the position of Chief Operating Officer is expected to be discontinued.
Further, William Hickey is expected to continue as chairman until the company's annual meeting of stockholders in May and provide continued transition assistance to Peribere during that period.
