Nelnet Inc. (NNI) reported fourth quarter net income of $1.05 per share after the close Thursday, excluding derivative market value and foreign currency adjustments, down from $1.22 per share last year.
Nelnet has been gaining ground for the majority of early trade Friday and is now up 1.10 at $34.28. The stock has broken out of a 2-week trading range and has set a new high for the year.
