Strides Arcolab Ltd. said its wholly-owned subsidiary Agila Specialties Pvt. Ltd. had received ANDA approval for Zoledronic Acid Injection 4mg(base)/5mL, packaged in single dose vials.
As per IMS data, the US market for Zoledronic Acid 4mL is around $250 million.
The company said the product would be launched shortly.
Zoledronic Acid is used to treat high blood calcium levels (hypercalcemia) that may occur with cancer. Zoledronic acid is also used with cancer chemotherapy to treat bone problems that may occur with multiple myeloma and other types of cancer (such as breast, lung) that have spread to the bones.
At the BSE, strides Arcolab shares are currently trading at Rs.900.10, up 2.53 percent from the previous close.
