Vail Resorts Inc. (MTN) reported second quarter EPS of $1.65 after the close Wednesday, up from $1.27 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.70. The company also boosted its quarterly dividend by 10 percent to $0.2075 per share.
Vail Resorts gapped open higher Thursday and has continued to gain ground in earl trade. Shares are now up 3.46 at $60.16. The stock has surged past resistance and has set a new high for the year.
