The company expects to report first quarter EPS of $0.92 to $0.98 and between $3.76 and $3.92 for the full year 2013. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.94 and $3.93.
PetSmart gapped open sharply lower Thursday, but traded in a range throughout the session. The stock finished with a loss of 4.37 at $62.18, with volume at a 5-month high. PetSmart closed testing the lower end of a 5-week range.
