Denmark's consumer price inflation slowed for the third consecutive month in February, data released by Statistics Denmark showed Monday.
Inflation as per the consumer price index eased to 1.2 percent in February from 1.3 percent in January. The rate has slowed for the third successive month.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages prices advanced 1.2 percent annually, while clothing and footwear prices decreased 0.3 percent. Housing costs were higher by 2.3 percent compared to last year, and transportation costs up by 0.2 percent.
On a monthly basis, the consumer price index increased 1.2 percent in February, the agency said.
Separately, the agency said Denmark's merchandise exports increased 5.5 percent sequentially in January, reversing the previous month's 4.2 percent decrease. Imports edged up 0.7 percent during the month, after growing 3.4 percent in December.
The net trade resulted in a surplus of DKK6.1 million, higher than the 3.9 billion surplus recorded in the previous month, data showed.
