James Breeden, the president of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, issued a statement Thursday afternoon urging caution on robotic hysterectomies. "Robotic surgery is not the only or the best minimally invasive approach for hysterectomy. Nor is it the most cost-efficient," Breeden stated.
Intuitive Surgical has been declining since the open of trade Friday and is now down 20.99 at $468.90. The stock has been falling for the last 2 weeks and has set a 7-month low.
