Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance (ULTA) reported fourth quarter net income of $1.00 per share after the bell Thursday, compared to $0.73 per share in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.98. First quarter EPS is expected to be between $0.60 and $0.63, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.72.
Ulta Salon gapped open dramatically lower Friday and continued to drift lower for the majority of the session. Shares finished down by 14.23 at $74.14 on the highest volume of the year. The stock plummeted to a new low for the year.
