Met-Pro Corp. (MPR) reported that its net income for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2013 totaled $2.4 million, or $0.16 per share, compared with net income of $2.1 million, or $0.15 per share, for the same period last year.
Net sales for the fourth quarter were $27.0 million compared with net sales of $28.4 million for the same quarter last year, a decrease of 5%.
New orders for the fourth quarter totaled $23.2 million, an 18% decrease compared with $28.3 million for the fourth quarter last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.16 per share on revenues of $29.30 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
