Airgas Inc. (ARG) announced Thursday morning that it may miss the low end of its fourth-quarter adjusted earnings outlook of $1.18 per share by about 4 percent due to the weaker than expected sales. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $1.22.
Airgas gapped open sharply lower Thursday, but was range-bound throughout the session. The stock finished down by 5.39 at $97.96 on the highest volume of the year. Airgas dropped to a 3-week low.
