Iceland's wages grew at a faster pace of 5.2 percent in February from the previous year, following a 5 percent rise in January, Statistics Iceland said Friday.
Month-on-month, the wage index gained 2.3 percent in February after rising 0.3 percent in January and staying flat in December.
At the same time, the real wage index was 0.7 percent higher than in January. It was up 0.4 percent on a yearly basis.
The collective agreement between the Confederation of Icelandic Employers and the Icelandic Confederation of Labour signed in May 2011, stipulates a general wage rise of 3.25 percent in February 2013.
