Tiffany & Co. (TIF) reported fourth quarter EPS of $1.40 Friday morning, compared to $1.39 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.36. Net sales for the quarter grew 4 percent year-over-year to $1.24 billion, which came slightly below analysts' estimate of $1.25 billion.
Tiffany gapped open higher Friday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. The stock finished with a gain of 1.32 at $69.23 on above average volume. Tiffany closed near the middle of a 3-week range.
