Apparel and home decor retailer Gordmans Stores Inc. (GMAN) posted fourth-quarter net income of $7.9 million or $0.41 per share, compared to $10.2 million or $0.53 per share in the comparable quarter last year. On average, four analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.37 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues for the quarter grew 9.4 percent to $202.46 million from $185.15 million in the prior-year quarter, while four analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $202.82 million for the quarter.
Comparable store sales for the fourth quarter dropped 4.1 percent over the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011.
