UniFirst Corp. (UNF) reported second quarter net income of $1.33 per share Wednesday morning, up from $0.96 per share a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.13. The company also increased its full year 2013 EPS forecast to between $5.65 and $5.80, from prior expectations of $5.10 to $5.25. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $5.22.
UniFirst gapped open sharply higher Wednesday and is now up 3.70 at $92.27. The stock has climbed to a new high for the year.
