Romania's Jobless Rate Rises Modestly In February

Romania's unemployment rate increased from the previous month in February, data released by the National Institute of Statistics showed Tuesday.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 6.7 percent in February from 6.6 percent in January. In February 2012, the jobless rate was 7.3 percent.

There were around 674,000 unemployed persons in the country at the end of February, higher than around 660,000 recorded a year earlier, data showed.
