Xyratex Ltd. (XRTX), a provider of data storage technology, Tuesday announced the retirement of Steve Barber as its Chief Executive Officer, effective April, 2.
The Board in a statement named Ernie Sampias, a member of the company's Board for nine years as the new Interim Chief Executive Officer, the Board added that it would conduct a search for a permanent CEO, with the help of an executive search firm.
Barber who served as the company's Chief Executive since February, 2003, will also step down from his post and as a member of the Board of Directors.
