Atmos Energy Corporation (ATO), on Tuesday announced the retirement of Robert Best, from his post of executive chairman, effective April 1, 2013. The company said Best shall serve as the chairman of its Board post retirement.
Best who joined Atmos Energy Corp in early 1997 has served as chairman, president and chief executive officer, before being promoted to the role of executive chairman in 2010.
Prior to Atmos Energy, Best worked with Consolidated Natural Gas Company, Transco Energy Company, Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corp and Texas Gas Transmission Corp.
