Air Canada (AC_A.TO) reported that its March system traffic rose 3.4 percent on a system-wide capacity increase of 1.0 percent.
Traffic, measured in RPMs, was 4.776 billion compared to 4.621 billion last year. Capacity, measured in ASMs, was 5.722 billion compared to 5.668 billion last year.
System load factor was 83.5 percent, compared to 81.5 percent in March 2012, an increase of 2.0 percentage points.
Air Canada reports traffic results on a system-wide basis, including regional airlines from which Air Canada purchases capacity.
