The Danish economy shrank 0.7 percent sequentially in the fourth quarter, reversing a 0.8 percent rise in the previous quarter, final data from Statistics Denmark showed Thursday.
The fourth quarterly decline was revised from the 0.9 percent drop initially estimated on February 28.
For 2012 as a whole, gross domestic product was down 0.5 percent, it said.
Investment expanded 1.5 percent from the prior quarter. While private spending dropped 0.1 percent, government spending rose 1 percent. Imports decreased 1 percent and exports dropped 2.1 percent.
