Franklin Covey Co. (FC) Thursday reported a sharp increase in profit for the second quarter, due mainly to higher revenues.
The Salt Lake City, Utah-based company's second-quarter net income was $1.6 million or $0.08 per share, compared to $1.2 million or $0.06 per share in the comparable quarter last year.
Net sales for the latest second quarter grew 11% to $40.43 million from $38.63 million in the prior-year quarter.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.11 per share on revenue of $42.71 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
