Lithuania's producer prices decreased from last year in March, reversing the modest increase seen in the previous month, data released by the Department of Statistics showed Monday.
The producer price index, excluding refined petroleum products, declined 2 percent on an annual basis in March, reversing the 0.8 percent increase seen in the previous month.
The fall in prices mainly reflected a 4 percent decrease in prices of goods sold in the overseas market. Output prices for the domestic market, meanwhile, increased by 2.1 percent.
Mining and quarrying prices for all markets fell 2.1 percent annually, and manufacturing prices dropped by 3 percent. Meanwhile, prices of of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply increased by 4.3 percent.
On a monthly basis, industrial producer prices dropped 0.9 percent in March, after gaining 1.2 percent in February, data showed.
