Silence Therapeutics PLC (SLN.L) Wednesday announced a placing raising approximately 19 million pounds through the issue of up to 9.51 million shares by way of a placing to certain investors at the price of 4 pence per share, which is the pre-consolidation price. The placing price represents a discount of 9.6 percent to the mid-market price of 4.425 pence on April 9.
The company said it proposed to undertake a share consolidation of 1 new share of 5 pence each in nominal value for every 50 existing shares of 0.1 pence each in nominal value, thus making the post consolidation price 200 pence per share.
