ADTRAN Inc. (ADTN) reported first quarter non-GAAP EPS of $0.17 Wednesday morning, down from $0.25 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.08. The company also declared a cash dividend for the first quarter of 2013 of $0.09 per common share.
ADTRAN gapped open sharply higher Wednesday and is now up 1.81 at $21.52. The stock has jumped to over a 5-week high and has re-crossed both its 50 and 200-day moving averages.
