Intel Corp. (INTC) reported first quarter net income of $0.40 per share after the close Tuesday, down from $0.53 per share a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.41. Net revenues dropped to $12.58 billion from $12.91 billion last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $12.61 billion.
Looking forward to the second quarter, Intel expects revenues of $12.9 billion, plus or minus $500 million. Analysts currently anticipate revenues of $12.87 billion for the quarter. The stock is now up 0.12 on 6.4 million shares.
Intel climbed for the majority of the morning Tuesday and took out the session highs going into the close. The stock finished up by 0.54 at $21.92.
