CYS Investments, Inc. (CYS) Wednesday reported first-quarter loss of $17.7 million or $0.10 per share, compared to profit of $69.1 million or $0.66 per share in the comparable quarter last year.
Core earnings dropped to $29.1 million or $0.17 per share from $41.9 million or $0.39 per share last year.
Investment income for the quarter improved to $73.10 million from $65.37 million last year. Net investment income dropped to $52.52 million from $53.40 million last year.
