Sensient Technologies Corp. (SXT) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net earnings of $21.4 million or $0.43 per share, compared to $28.4 million or $0.58 per share in the prior year.
Meanwhile, revenues grew to $356.2 million from $340.4 million in the prior year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report $0.59 per share on revenues of $373.70 million for the quarter. Analyst estimates typically exclude special items.
For the full year 2013, the company raised its guidance and currently expects earnings, excluding the restructuring charges, to be within a range of $2.66 to $2.73 per share. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $2.67 per share.
