Kimberly-Clark Corp. (KMB) reported first quarter adjusted EPS of $1.48 Friday morning, up from $1.24 last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.34. Full year 2013 adjusted EPS is expected to be between $5.60 and $5.75, up from prior expectations of $5.50 to $5.65. The consensus estimate is for EPS of $5.59.
Kimberly-Clark gapped open sharply higher Friday and is now up 3.64 at $105.00. The stock has been climbing for the last month and has set a new high for the year.
