ARCA biopharma Inc. (ABIO) announced Monday morning that it has entered into an agreement with Medtronic Inc. (MDT) to improve the treatment of chronic diseases, including cardiac rhythm disorders, to collaborate on ARCA's proposed clinical trial, known as GENETIC-AF, of its lead developmental drug Gencaro.
ARCA biopharma gapped open sharply higher Monday and is now up 1.05 at $3.02 on strong volume. The stock has climbed to a 1-month high.
