Ameriprise Financial Inc. (AMP) Monday reported first-quarter net income of $335 million or $1.58 per share, compared to $244 million or $1.05 per share in the same quarter last year.
Net income from continuing operations for the quarter was $336 million or $1.58 per share, compared to $245 million or $1.06 per share in the year-ago quarter.
Meanwhile, net revenues totaled $2.69 billion compared to $2.56 billion last year.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $1.57 per share and revenues of $2.72 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
