CNBC reported Monday morning that ValueAct Capital has taken a $2 billion stake in Microsoft Corp. (MSFT).
Microsoft gapped up Monday and spiked higher in early trade, before settling into a range. The stock finished with a gain of 1.06 at $30.83 on above average volume. Microsoft broke out of a 2-week range and set a 7-month high.
