Illumina Inc. (ILMN) reported first quarter adjusted EPS of $0.46 after the close Monday, up from $0.36 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.39.
Illumina gapped open higher Tuesday and has risen sharply in early trade. The stock is now up 6.67 at $61.79 on above average volume. Illumina has broken out of a 2-week trading range and has set a new high for the year.
