Buckeye Technologies Inc. (BKI) announced Wednesday morning that it agreed to be acquired by Georgia-Pacific LLC for $37.50 per share in cash, approximately $1.5 billion.
Buckeye Technologies has gapped open dramatically higher Wednesday and is now up 7.60 at $37.53 on the highest volume of the year. The stock has leaped to a new high for the year.
