Rock-Tenn Co. (RKT) reported second quarter adjusted EPS of $1.12 after the bell Tuesday, up from $0.97 a year ago. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.02.
Rock-Tenn spiked to the upside at the open Wednesday, but settled into a range for the remainder of the session. The stock closed higher by 5.53 at $99.51, with volume at a 5-month high. Rock-Tenn rose to its second consecutive new high for the year.
