EQT Corporation, (EQT), an integrated energy company, Thursday reported an increase in the net income for the first quarter, reflecting higher revenues.
For the three-month period, the company reported earnings of $100.3 million or $0.66 per share compared with $72 million or $0.48 per share during corresponding year quarter.
Excluding special items, the company reported adjusted net income of $99.4 million or $0.66 per share, compared with $71.6 million or $0.48 per share last year.
On average, fourteen analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings per share of $0.53 for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
The company generated net operating revenues of $458 million compared with $365.8 million recorded prior year same quarter. Analyst estimated the company's revenue to be $365.89 million.
The company also increased its 2013 production sales volume guidance to between 340 and 350 Bcfe, and midstream EBITDA guidance to between $350 and $355 million.
