Medidata Solutions Inc. (MDSO) reported first quarter non-GAAP EPS of $0.35 Monday morning, up from $0.22 last year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.23.
Medidata Solutions gapped up sharply Monday and climbed steadily until around mid-morning. Shares finished up by 11.23 at $65.29 on the highest volume of the year. The stock surged past the upper end of a 2-month range and set a new high for the year.
