Republic Airways Holdings Inc. (RJET) reported first quarter net income of $0.3 million or $0.01 per share, compared to a net loss of $7.1 million or $0.15 per share for the year-ago quarter.
Total operating revenue for the first quarter fell 8.9% to $635.6 million from $697.6 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.02 per share on revenue of $646.80 million for the first quarter.
Republic revenues for the first quarter fell 8.6% to $324.7 million, while Frontier revenues decreased 9.2% to $310.9 million.
