Transition Therapeutics Inc. (TTHI) announced the results of a 5-week proof of concept clinical study of TT-401 Tuesday morning, in type 2 diabetic and obese non-diabetic subjects. TT-401 demonstrated significant improvements in glycemic control and reductions in body weight.
Transition Therapeutics gapped up Tuesday and has since risen sharply on strong volume. The stock is now up 1.30 at $3.55 and has surged to a new high for the year.
