AT&T has gotten itself one step ahead of other carriers with Digital Life, its brand new automated home security system. AT&T Digital Life is a digitally integrated, wireless home security management system, that allows users to manage their homes simply through its app, at the comfort of their iOS, Android, Windows devices and PC.
The user-friendly app gives consumers complete control over cameras, door locks, lights, thermostats and appliances by setting alerts to manage their home.
The security system is available in two base plans: Simple Security, which consists of 24/7 home monitoring, battery backup, a wireless keypad, key-chain remote, sensors and an indoor siren for about $150 for initial setup and $30 a month; and Smart Security, which is an enhanced version of Simple Security with a choice of any three features like motion sensor, glass break sensor or a takeover kit for an installation charge of $250 and thereon, $40 a month.
According to the company, consumers can order the system either online, or over the phone, or at the company store, or with the help of an in-home consultant, with an option to add more features.
AT&T is currently launching the system in 15 markets that include Atlanta, Austin, Texas, Boulder, Colo., Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia, Riverside, Calif., San Francisco, Seattle, St. Louis and select areas of the New York and New Jersey metropolitan area.
