Nissan North America, Inc. (NSANY.PK) Wednesday said U.S. Sales for the month of April improved, helped mainly by higher volumes and retail sales.
April U.S. sales totaled 87,847 units, up 23.2 percent from 71,329 units reported in the same period last year. Overall volume were up more than 24 percent, with retail sales growth of more than 32 percent over last year.
Nissan Division sales grew 24.6 percent to 80,003 units from 64,200 units last year, driven by retail sales gains by top-selling models like Altima, Pathfinder, Sentra and Rogue.
Sales of Nissan Altima rose 35.4 percent to 21,991 units, driven by a 42 percent increase in retail deliveries. Nissan Pathfinder sales increased 214.7 percent to 6,473 units from last year.
With deliveries of 10,734 units, Nissan Sentra posted a 44.9 percent rise in sales. Nissan Rogue crossover sales totaled 11,904 units, up 39 percent over the prior-year period.
Infiniti sales improved 10 percent to 7,844 units from 7,129 units last year, while Infiniti G Sedan deliveries totaled 2,696 units, up 29 percent from last year.
